Word Deliverance Apostolic Center Bible Institute (WDACBI) welcomes recommendations and nominations of distinguished individuals in ministry, leadership, and public service who are deserving of special recognition through the conferral of an Honorary Doctorate Degree.

Each applicant or nominee is evaluated by the WDACBI Board of Regents based on submitted documentation, demonstrated service, and alignment with the mission of WDACBI—to further the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serve humanity with excellence and integrity.

Honorary degrees are conferred upon individuals who have demonstrated exceptional service, spiritual leadership, and long-standing commitment to the Kingdom of God and the betterment of society.

Purpose of Honorary Degrees

 

An Honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa)—Latin for “for the sake of honor”—is an academic distinction awarded without the completion of a traditional doctoral program. It legally recognizes individuals whose lives and work exemplify faith, leadership, sacrifice, and meaningful contributions to ministry, education, and humanitarian service with all its right and privileges .

Honorary Doctorate Degrees Offered

Word Deliverance Apostolic Center Bible Institute offers the following Honorary Degrees:

Doctor of Divinity (D.D. / D.Div. – Honoris Causa)

Latin: Doctor Divinitatis
Awarded to individuals who have devoted their lives to ministry leadership, theological service, and the advancement of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Minimum Age Requirement: 40 years

Doctor of Humane Letters (L.H.D. / D.Hum.L.)

​

Latin: Litterarum Humanarum Doctor
Awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves through humanitarian work, education, social reform, community development, or public service.

Minimum Age Requirement: 30years

​

Additional Honorary Degrees

• Doctor of Theology (Th.D. h.c.)

• Doctor of Music Ministry

• Doctor of Christian Education

• Doctor of Christian Counseling

          Minimum Age Requirement: 25 years

Core Eligibility Requirements

All applicants or nominees must meet the following minimum qualifications:

​

• Must be at least 30 years of age
  (Doctor of Divinity candidates must be at least 40 years of age)

• Must have 5–10 years of active, ordained ministerial service
  (20 or more years preferred for Doctor of Divinity candidates)

• Humanitarian degree candidates must demonstrate at least 10 years of documented community or public service

• Must be a person of good moral character and spiritual integrity

• Must have made significant contributions to ministry, the Church, or society

Degree Contribution & Financial Information

Honorary degrees are conferred through a charitable contribution supporting the mission and operations of WDACBI.

• Honorary Degrees (General): $1,000

• Doctor of Divinity (D.D.): $2,000

 

Contribution Reductions & Waivers

​

• Partial contribution waivers may be granted upon submission of a formal recommendation or referral letter from:

  • A WDACBI Governing Board Member

  • A recognized ecclesiastical authority or allied ministry leader

• Reduced contributions may also be offered based on:

  • Length of ministerial service

  • Demonstrated impact and leadership

  • Eligibility for advanced or expedited review​

Review & Approval Process

• All applications are reviewed by the WDACBI Board of Regents

• Each candidate receives guidance throughout the process

• Once all materials are submitted, decisions are typically rendered within one (1) week

 

Honorary Degree Conferment Ceremony

Upon approval:

• WDACBI will coordinate a complimentary on-site commitment and investiture ceremony

• Board members will travel to the recipient’s location

• The honorary degree will be formally conferred before the recipient’s congregation or community

• The honoree will be vested and publicly acknowledged with their new academic title
